Each student at LVMS is assigned to a counselor who will assist with academic, social, personal and career needs. Each counselor holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Students are assigned to their counselor based on their last name, but may be seen by the other counselors as well.
Counselors are available before school, during school and after school to address student and parent concerns. A student can request to see a counselor by filling out a Counselor Request Card at the front desk in the office. A parent may schedule a meeting with a counselor by contacting the Counseling Department at 742-2600. All discussions with a counselor will be confidential unless a student's safety or the safety of others is at risk. Information may also be shared with a student's and/or parent's permission.
